Closing Program of SEA Teacher Batch 6 in Benguet State University
Thursday, August 30 2018 is the day of saying goodbye to everyone. That day, there is a farewell event for SEA Teacher Batch 6 delegates at BSU. The event was attended by us ten SEA Teacher Batch 6 delegates from Indonesia, coordinators, supervisors, mentors, staff who manage BSU college of teacher education, and our buddies.
At this event, several speeches were delivered by several BSU College of Teacher Education faculty. And on this occasion, we expressed our happiness and thanks for being well received by BSU. We also thank them for facilitating us during this program.
And at this event, each of us performed our own regional dances. I and Ika, who come from the island of Borneo, had perform a special dance pairing in our area called "Tirik Lalan Dance". This dance draws a king who wants to travel far to another place and asks permission from the queen. And we have worn pink and blue costumes to show this dance.
After the dance performance from all of us, we also sang Indonesian Raya songs and Indonesian Pusaka. In singing this song, we want to illustrate that "Wherever we are, we still love Indonesia".
After that, we also received a certificate from BSU as a proof that we have finished carrying out the assignment as a SEA Teacher Batch 6 delegate at BSU. Here, too, we provide a memento for BSU in the form of a plaque as a memento that we were at BSU.
And at the end of the event, we took pictures with all the staff and mentors. Especially for those of us in BSU-ELS, we also took pictures with the children we had taught along with all the teacher councils in BSU-ELS.
I am sad enough to leave it all, because I feel comfortable here. I also thank everyone for helping me in everything and making me a part of them too. I don't feel foreign here, we all feel like a new family😀. I will always remember this time, it is a memory filled with learnings, happiness, joy and love. Indeed, the hands of time passes expeditiously but the memories will remain fresh and never grows old with time. Once again, thank you.
Maraming salamat po!☺☺
Paalam!
